Oats idli


Oats idli...
Since oats are very healthy and  Quaker is serving up wholesome goodness in delicious ways. Nourish your family morning to night with healthy breakfast and healthy snack options.

Since Oats are nutrient-rich food associated with lower blood cholesterol when consumed regularly. 
My family like oats very much so I always like to make things from oats...
Here is one more Oats idli which is a great combination of Oats and idli...



Ingredients 

3/4 cup oat flour               (In a grinder , grind oats and make powder out of it.)
1/4 cup semolina/sooji/rava
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar
1 cup Yogurt/curd
1/2 cup luke warm water
Eno


For tempering 
1/2 tbsp oil 
1 tsp Mustard seeds
some chopped cashews
A pinch of red chili powder/black pepper powder

Method

In a bowl add Oats flour, Sooji, salt and sugar and mix well.
Add curd and water and mix well and make idli batter.
Keep it aside for 15  minutes.




Grease the idli mould.

Prepare the tempering.

Heat oil in a pan. Add Mustard seeds, when it cracks then add some chopped cashews and red chili powder. Turn off the gas.

Pour the tempering into idli batter and mix well.








When Steamer is ready then
Add 1 tbsp Eno into batter and mix well.
Pour one table spoon batter into idli batter.

Steam for 15-20 minutes.






Add curd and water and make idli batter.

Keep aside for 20 minutes.

Now Prepare idli steamer




Idli are ready...Enjoy idli with coconut chutney, green chutney , cilantro-coconut chutney.
