2 tomatoes
2-3 onions
8-10 whole dry red chili
1 tsp salt or as per taste
1 tsp mustard seeds
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp water
Method :-
In
a pan , add 1 tbsp oil add dry red chili stir for few seconds then add
roughle chopped tomato and onion, salt and 2 tbsp water .
Mix well.
cover it with lid and cook it on medium gas for 5 minutes or until it become mushy and soft.
Let it be cold.
Then make puree in a blender.
Now heat oil in a pan, add 1 tbsp oil.
Add mustard seeds, when it starts cracking then add puree and cook it for 8-10 minutes on medium gas.
Your Tomato chutney is ready.
you can serve this chutney with dosa, vada, or paranthe or idli.
(1) You can add sugar , if tomatoes are very sour.
(2) If you don't want very spicy then you can use green chili and some red chili powder
3) For color you can use Kashmiri red chili powder
