Vermicelli Kheer/Pudding with condensed milk and half&half is a quick, easy and delicious dessert.
Ingredients :-
21/2 cup Whole Milk
1/2 cup + 1 tbsp Roasted Vermicelli
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk (If you like more sweet then add 3/4 cup of sweetened milk)
1 tsp Cardamom powder
3-4 Saffron thread
1 tbsp Luke warm milk
6-7 finely chopped pistachio
6-7 finely chopped Cashew
6-7 finely chopped Almond
Some dry fruits for garnishing
Method :-
Take a pan. Boil milk for 8-10 minutes on medium high gas...Keep Stiring otherwise milk can burnt.
In the mean time add saffron thread into luke warm milk
Add condensed milk and mix well. cook it for more 3-4 minutes on medium high gas.
Now Add Vermicelli into boiled milk.
Cook for 3-4 minutes on medium gas or until vermicelli become tender.
Add saffron milk .Stir for 1-2 minutes.
Add cardamom powder and dry-fruits. Stir for few seconds.
Turn off the gas
Garnish with some dry fruits.
Vermcelli Kheer is ready. Serve hot or cold.
(For cold keep the kheer into refrigerator for 1-2 hour)
Tips :-
1) You can use Sugar instead of condensed milk
If you are using sugar so you have to boil milk for some more time and for creamy texture you can add cream.
2) You can also add coconut powder and raisins.
3) If you think kheer is little thick then you can add milk.
4) If you don't have roasted vermicelli then roast the vermicelli into ghee or oil.
5) You can also use unsweetened milk instead of sweetened milk.
