Ingredients
2 medium size apple
2 tbsp water
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup dry coconut powder
1/2 cup Almonds
(you can choose any dry fruits Some chopped/coarsely dryfruits(Almonds, pistachios, Cashews, walnuts as per your choice))
1/4 tsp of Cardamom powder
For green layer
1/4 tsp pistachios powder and a pinch of green color
For Saffron layer
5-6 saffron leaves
a pinch of orange color
for white layer
1/4 cup desiccated coconut powder
1 tbsp almond powder
For garnishing some chopped Dryfruits almonds and pistachios and desiccated coconut
Method :-
In a pressure cooker, boil apple on medium gas until one whistle come.
In a pan , add 3 tbsp ghee and add coconut powder and roast for few seconds .
Add Sugar and boiled apple and Mix well.
Cook and Stir continuously until all mixture become dry.
Add some coarsely dry fruits powder and cardamom powder.
Mix well and cooking continuously until it started leaving sides and
mixture become mass. At this moment you can taste Sugar, if you want
more you can add more
Turn off the heat and transfer it to the plate.
Divide the mixture into two parts
In one part add green color and pistachios powder and mix well.
In second part add orange color and 5-6 saffron leaves and mix well.
Grease it with ghee then spread one layer of green color
pressed gently and spread evenly.
then spread some dessicated coconut powder spread evenly evenly and sprinkle some coarsely almond powder.
Then spread orange layer and spread evenly and press gently.
Sprinkle some almond powder and chopped pistachios.
Then cover it and keep it in the fridge for 4-5 hrs or until it become set.
Take out.
Then serve as a cake or
cut into pieces as per desire shape.
or
Take some green and orange layer
and mix them and make ladoo.
and coat with desiccated coconut powder.
